CHADAR,
anyway?
The Chadar Ochel is where we eat all our meals. In the Chadar, our campers sit wherever they want, allowing them to get to know many campers outside of their tents. Meals are buffet style and there is always a variety of options to satisfy any hungry belly!

BREAKFAST
At Every Meal: cereal + milk, oatmeal, yogurt, fresh fruit and veggies, cheese, toast, juice, water
Daily Specials: bagels + schmear, eggs + hashbrowns, shakshuka, waffles, pancakes, french toast, muffins

LUNCH
At Every Meal: soup, make your own salad bar, fruit/dessert, water
Daily Specials: grilled cheese + fries , mac and cheese + greek salad, veggie tacos, make your own pasta bar, lasagna, pizza + caesar salad, Hani's famous orzo

DINNER
At Every Meal: make your own salad bar, steamed/grilled veggies, rice/couscous/potatoes, water
Daily Specials: sweet + sour chicken wings, chicken/beef stirfry, meatballs, spaghetti bolognese, BBQ hot dogs + burgers, roast chicken, deli sandwiches, fajitas, chicken fingers, Shabbat dinner.
Veggie Options: tofu + rice, veggie stirfry, ratatouille, veggie chili, stuffed peppers, veggie burgers + dogs, pasta primavera

SNACKS
Available All Day: plain/whole wheat bread with freenut butter, jam, or butter or fresh fruit
Cool Treats: popsicles, freezies, ice cream, fudgesicles... usually served at General Swim!
Bedtime snacks: cookies, muffins, rice krispie squares, brownies

HANI BEN SHABAT
When our campers cheer 'Hani is money!' repeatedly in the Chadar, it's clear how special Hani is to our chevrah. Hani feeds us ridiculously good food and cares about every single staff and camper that walks into the Chadar.
The Chadar is not just a place for eating. It is a place for cheering, singing, dancing, and joy. After every lunch, campers and staff stand up on the benches and cheer at the top of their lungs. Fan favourite songs include "Hey Bob Diddly Bob," "Welcome to Solelim," and of course, the official Solelim cheer!
